IMPORTANT UPDATE: SCBTF PROGRAM ENDING MARCH 31, 2026
The Sonoma County Black Therapy Fund has provided over two thousand no-cost, culturally competent therapy sessions to Sonoma County Black residents and others in our community seeking culturally responsive care. This program was created to expand access to mental health support that centers on cultural responsiveness and community needs. The Fund is supported by federal ARPA dollars, administered through the County of Sonoma and implemented by the Sonoma County Black Forum with guidance from the Leadership Team of the SCBTF. This funding will conclude on March 31, 2026, and the program will close at that time. CURRENT PARTICIPANTS: If you are a current participant, we strongly encourage you to schedule and use all remaining therapy sessions before the program ends. Participants are eligible for up to 12 sessions, and booking appointments now can help ensure availability and continuity of care. This also applies to individuals who have been approved but have not yet started or completed their sessions. NEW PARTICPANTS: For participants approved on or after January 1, 2026, please plan to schedule approximately one session per week in order to complete all sessions before the March 31, 2026 end date. Please reach out if you have any questions. The Sonoma County Black Therapy Fund will remain available to support participants with scheduling questions and program-related assistance through March 2026.
